THURSDAY, MARCH 31, 2016 – An officer retrieved a Peregrine falcon from a school yard in Cathedral City on Thursday morning.

Riverside County Animal Services Officer Eric Espejo responded to the James Workman Middle School campus (69- 300 30th Ave., Cathedral City) to safely retrieve the bird of prey.

The bird appeared to have something wrong with it, but it was hard to determine whether it was injured. An officer will transport the bird to the Coachella Valley Wild Bird Center in Indio on Friday.
