After a successful collaboration in 2023, there will be many lucky people and pets when Riverside County Department of Animal Services (RCDAS) again partners with Helpful SoCal Honda Dealers to provide FREE pet adoptions as part of its annual St. Pawtrick’s Day event on Mar. 16.

“We’re very grateful for the Helpful Honda team and their sponsorship of this free pet adoption day. Reducing cost barriers is very helpful for those wishing to open their homes to a shelter pet in need. We consider Helpful Honda a true partner in helping to improve the lives of shelter pets by making it possible for residents to adopt a pet for free,” said Riverside County Second District Supervisor Karen Spiegel.

All pet adoptions are FREE from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 16 at the following shelter locations:

  • Coachella Valley Animal Campus, located at 72-050 Pet Land Place in Thousand Palms
  • San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus, located at 581 S. Grand Ave., in San Jacinto
  • Western Riverside County Shelter, located at 6851 Van Buren Blvd. in Jurupa Valley

The Helpful SoCal Honda team will be on hand at the Western Riverside County Shelter in Jurupa Valley on Mar. 16 and then at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms on Mar. 30 to greet residents with swag, such a poop scoop bags, pet food bowls, treats and more.

“As our shelters here in Riverside County continue to experience severe overcrowding, this is a perfect opportunity help reduce the number of animals at the shelter by adopting a pet and saving a life,” Erin Gettis, director, Riverside County Department of Animal Services.
