HEALTHY PET ZONE PROGRAM

Welcome to the Healthy Pet Zone program! Our desire is to help pets and families stay together. Through a variety of activities, we can address some of the needs that may assist you in keeping your pet at home. Some of these include:

Food Pantry

The Department of Animal Services offers a food pantry to provide free dog and cat food for needy families. The food pantry is conducted once per month on the last Saturday of the month from 9 am-10 am. Registration is required. Registration opens at the beginning of each month for the first 150 animals.

Temporary Boarding for Persons Experiencing Crisis

During a crisis, it can be difficult for persons to accomplish what needs to be done or recover and still care for pets. The Department offers temporary boarding for persons in emergency circumstances, such as in the event of homelessness, or domestic violence situations.
