THURSDAY, OCT. 6, 2016 – All Riverside County shelters are closed on Monday, Oct. 10, in observance of Columbus Day, a holiday observed countywide.
The shelters will still have some limited staffing levels to care for the stray and adoptable pets during some portions of the day on Monday. But pet owners trying to locate their lost pet will have to wait until Tuesday, Oct. 11, to search the kennel runs.
All pets can still be viewed online by visiting www.petharbor.com.
Emergency incidents in the field will still be handled by animal control officers assigned to work the holiday.
Shelters return to normal business hours on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and hours of operation can be found by clicking this link.
