Live Art Auction Event Benefits Shelter Pets | Art for the Animals is Sunday at RAM

FRIDAY, March 27, 2015 – A live art auction event on Sunday in downtown Riverside is open to the public.

The annual Art for the Annuals auction is being held at the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. RAM

is located at 3425 Mission Inn Ave. in the heart of downtown Riverside.

Everyone is welcome and the event is free to attend, but please bring your wallet or checkbook if you want to participate in the auction and take home some of the amazing artwork. Credit cards are accepted too.

This year’s event is highlighted by featured artists Gilbert and Kelly Vela. The Velas specialize in nature photography and both are very involved in local animal shelters. For years Gil and Kelly Vela have been volunteering their time to showcase homeless pets with their photography skills. Sunday’s event is sponsored by the Animal Solutions Konnection (ASK) Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization directly supporting Riverside County shelter animals and programs that benefit the homeless pets. All money raised on Sunday will benefit the ASK Foundation, which consists of a board that are all non-paid volunteers.

The event has several other co-sponsors and support from the following: the city of Riverside, McGrath’s Elegant Catering, Paso’s Best Wines, Riverside City Councilman Mike Gardner, the Riverside Art Museum (RAM), and Riverside County Animal Services.
